Meaning:

I know your works.
You have only the name of being alive,
but in reality you are dead.
The One who holds the seven spirits of God
and the seven stars
speaks these words to you.

1. I know your works.
You have the appearance of being alive,
but you are spiritually dead.
Wake up!
Strengthen what little remains
and is about to die,
for I have not found your works
complete and perfect before my God.

2. Remember what you received
and what you heard.
Hold firmly to it and keep it.
Repent!
If you do not wake up,
I will come like a thief,
at a time you do not expect.

3. Yet there are some among you
who have not stained their garments.
They will walk with me in white,
because they are worthy.
The one who overcomes
will be clothed in white garments.
I will never erase that person's name
from the Book of Life.
Instead, I will acknowledge their name
before my Father
and before His heavenly assembly.
