Sing a song of victory!
Sing it, brothers and sisters!
Because Jesus our King is alive,
let us sing songs of victory.

He came into this world for us
to put an end to sin, the curse, and all evil.
He endured the fire of God’s wrath
and died for us—but our Savior is alive!

All the great people of this world
are alike sleeping in their graves.
But Jesus, the Most High and Almighty God,
alone lives and reigns on high.

4.
Put away your impurity and wipe away your tears;
let us eagerly prepare ourselves.
Since the Lord of our lives is alive,
how can we remain idle or careless?

5.
O gates, lift up your heads!
For the King of victory is coming!
Lift yourselves up, ancient doors,
and receive Jesus Christ, the King!
