1.
What a wonderful Friend is Jesus, our great King!
He alone is our refuge and support.
There is no one in this world like Him,
such a perfect and faithful Friend.
Draw near to Him and know His love.

While we were suffering under the fire of God’s wrath,
He willingly offered Himself as a sacrifice on the cross.
Who else would be willing to give His very life for us?
Who else would show such compassion?

3.
When troubles surround us,
we can still sing songs of joy
and seek refuge in Him.
He is always near, telling us, “Do not be afraid,”
and He continually cares for us.

4.
So let us place all our worries and anxieties upon Him.
His hand will sustain us.
He is stronger than anyone else—
glorious, exalted, and blessed.
He is our one and only refuge forever.

5.
Let us willingly endure shame and dishonor
for the sake of His name.
Let us take pride in belonging to Him.
Without fearing anything,
let us stand firmly in this world
and follow faithfully behind Him.
