   Than swanthamaakkiyenne
   Avaniniyennilum njaan
   Avanilumaakayaal bhaagyavaanaam
    
4. Aayiram pathinaayirathil
   Athisundaranen manuvel
   Avanennum maadhuryavaan
   Aarumill enikkithupoloruvan
                                                            

Meaning:

What a blessing this life is!
What joy fills my heart!
The entire burden of my sin has been taken away—Hallelujah!

I was lying in the pit of sin,
Crying out and suffering greatly.
But now my heart is filled with heavenly joy,
And I sing a new song of praise.

He loved me first,
Even before the ages began.
Though I was helpless and unworthy,
God blessed me and made me His heir.

Through His precious blood He redeemed me
And made me His own.
Now I belong to Him, and He belongs to me;
What a blessed person I am!

My Immanuel is the fairest of ten thousand,
The most beautiful and wonderful of all.
He is always precious and sweet to me;
There is no one like Him in all the world.
