1.
If Jesus is your refuge, my soul,
You will have comfort throughout your life.
Those who trust in Him find protection every day;
He will never abandon or ignore them.

If you put your trust in people,
Will your heart ever find lasting peace
Other than constant disappointment?
But if you trust in Jesus,
No matter what sorrow comes
During your life on this earth,
You will never be without hope.

Taste and experience His goodness;
Make Him your refuge.
Day by day, place all your burdens upon Him.
Look at the path where His footsteps have gone,
And place your own feet in His steps
As you walk through life.

Why should anyone on this earth
Be captivated by the glory of human beings—
People whose lives end in death and return to dust?
Look instead upon the glory
Of Jesus, who died and rose again.
You will never grow weary;
Draw closer and closer to Him.

5.
Though many people today
May not recognize His greatness and glory,
A day will come when He returns.
On that day it will be revealed
Who honored Him
And who dishonored Him.
