Why did the people of Judah gather together
In great numbers to put their Lord to death?
What was the reason for such hatred
Against the One who came to save them?

Why was He placed among two criminals,
As though He were the worst of them all?
O sinner, search your heart
And consider the reason for this.

Why did the soldier pierce His holy side
With a spear, causing blood to flow?
What a profound mystery—
That His precious blood was shed for us!

When the final day comes,
What will you do then?
Will you receive the Lord
And carry Him within your heart?
