            Enthiha thaamasam cheythidunnu vibho
            Vannidaanithu vaasaramallo
            Ninnude varavinethanne njaan kaathu
            Ninnidunn-ithaa nee daya cheyka-

  1. Vaa neeyennumaamaadiyil vilicha
    Vaanor naada! Nin vaahanamengo?
    Varavanayum thorum vaanchayaa nokki
    Vaanee bhumiyil kenidunnaham-
     
  2. Saalem naayaka! Saadaram neeyen
    Saadamakatti van modamarulka
    Khedamakalum thirunaadamathe sravi-
    Chaanandikkuvaan nee krupa cheyka-
     
  3. Vaanil vaanavarodathighosha
    Maayirangum dinamorthidunnen njaan
    Aayathu ninackkumbolaathuranaaven
    Aa naalennume kaanaakum mama-                

Meaning:

Why are You delaying, Lord?
Surely this is the time for You to come!
I am waiting and watching for Your coming.
Please, Lord, show me Your mercy.

Come, Lord of heaven,
whom You called from the beginning.
I keep looking eagerly toward the heavens,
Watching for the arrival of Your chariot.
Here on this earth, I wait and cry out for You.

O King of Salem, my Lord,
Come graciously and take away my sorrow.
Fill me with great joy.
Let me hear Your glorious voice,
So that my sorrow may disappear
And I may rejoice in Your presence.

I keep thinking about the day
When You will come down from heaven
With the heavenly hosts in glorious celebration.
Whenever I think of that day,
My heart longs for it more and more.
May that blessed day
Come soon and become a reality for me.
