When the darkest moments surround me,
I draw near to my Lord’s feet.
With His hands, still bearing the marks
Of the iron nails,
The compassionate One will protect me.

The Lord of my life gave His own life for me.
He is my refuge all my days.
There is no need for me to run anywhere else;
He alone is enough to sustain and support me.

The Lord of Calvary is my Savior;
He was not confined to the grave.
He conquered death,
And now the Most High reigns in heaven
As Lord above every lord.

There is truly no blessing like this
Anywhere else in this world.
In Christ there is everlasting joy,
While in this earthly life
There are tears that never seem to end.
