1.
I am waiting for the coming of my Lord Jesus,
Longing to see Him face to face.
I will not grow weary or lose heart in any way,
For He will surely come—yes, He will come!

Our Lord has promised,
“I have prepared dwelling places in heaven for you,
And I will come and take you to be with Me.”
We can see the events that were foretold before His coming
Happening in the world today.
He will surely come—yes, He will come!

This earthly world, cursed because of sin,
Brings suffering and hardship to His servants.
He will come to take us to that glorious land of rest
And transform our bodies into new ones.
He will surely come—yes, He will come!

4.
As the enemy prowls about like a lion,
Seeking to destroy God’s children,
The Good Shepherd watches over His flock.
He will come again to gather His own
And bring them safely to Himself.
He will surely come—yes, He will come!

5.
Those who have died in Christ will rise again,
And those who are still living on earth will be transformed
And receive new bodies.
Together, we will meet the Lord on that glorious day.
That day is not far away—
He will surely come!
