1.
Did my Lord shed His blood?
Did my King die?
For someone as insignificant as me,
Did He bow His holy head
And give His life?

Jesus, my Lord, died for me,
And He died for you too, sinner.
He died for everyone.
Salvation is a gift, freely given.
All praise and glory belong to Him!

Look at Him hanging there upon the cross
Because we were lost and destined for destruction.
What overwhelming mercy this is!
What astonishing grace—
What immeasurable love!

The Lord died for us,
Because we were ruined by sin.
Through the death of the Anointed One,
The sun itself hid its face
And darkness covered the earth.

4.
When I see that cross of such great love,
I bow my head in reverence.
Lord, soften my heart
So that I may truly thank You,
And let my eyes overflow with tears
Of gratitude for Your love.

5.
But can my tears ever repay
The debt of love I owe You?
There is only one thing I can do:
I give myself completely to You,
And I offer my whole life to You
Forever, my Lord.
