   Kettippidichu muthamittangu
   Sweekarippaan ishtappedunn appanaam-
    
2. Ellaam thulachu neecha ppanniyin theetta thinnu
   Vallaathe naal kazhichu-enne
   Thallaathe metharamaam ankiyum mothiravumellaam
   tharunnappanaam-
    
3. Paapachelikkuzhiyil veenumarichavan njaan
   Veendum jeevan labhichu-theere
   Kaanaathe poyavan njaan kandu kitti
   Mahathwam muttum ninakkappane!-
    
4. Appa! nin veetilini yekkaalavum vasikkumippaapi
   ninnadiyan-eni
   kkippaaril laabhamellaam chappaanen daivame
   Nin thruppaadamen gathiye-
                                                                        

Meaning:

Forever and always, You are mine;
Your grace never changes,
And Your mercy never runs dry.

Like a rebellious son,
I wandered down sinful paths,
Living however I pleased.
Yet You longed to welcome me home,
To embrace me, kiss me,
And receive me as Your own.

I wasted everything I had
And ended up eating what the pigs were fed.
I lived that way for far too long.
Yet You did not reject me.
Instead, You welcomed me back
And gave me the finest robe and a ring.

I had fallen into the filthy pit of sin
And was as good as dead,
But You gave me life again.
I was lost and could not be found,
But You found me and brought me home.
All glory and honor belong to You, my Father!

Father, let this sinful servant of Yours
Remain in Your house forever.
From now on, every earthly gain
Means nothing to me.
My God, Your holy feet
Are my only refuge and my destination.
