1
When will You come, O Jesus, my glorious Lord,
And bring all our troubles to an end, beloved?
I long to come near to You
And live forever with You.
2
You are the One who promised, “I have prepared
A home for you in heaven, and I will come soon.”
Lord, why do You delay your coming any longer?
3
Life here on earth is filled with suffering;
This world is not worthy of Your people.
Come quickly, Lord,
And take us to be with You.
4
Today Your people are brought low because of division.
Uphold us by Your mighty power;
Remove every weakness and weariness,
And protect us, Lord.
5
O beautiful King! My heart longs and yearns
To see Your face.
How joyful it will be
To see Your precious face
And rejoice in Your presence!
6
O Son of the Most High, my beloved Lord!
Come and bring us into Your kingdom,
So that we may all live together
With You forever.
