When will I come and be with You, there beside You?
My heart is filled with hope and longs for that day.

1.
Here on earth, I live as a stranger in a temporary tent,
But You, Lord, are preparing for me an eternal home
Where I will never have to leave.

2.
Even though I spend these few days
In this valley of tears,
I will one day see the overwhelming glory
And splendor of eternity.

3.
Lord, as the days go by,
I will come to understand that the trials
And sufferings You allow me to endure
Were ultimately for my good.

4.
After I have finished serving the Lord
During my time here on earth,
I long to come into Your presence, Lord,
And rest with You.

5.
Even if I become dust and return to the earth,
When You call me from heaven,
I will come to You
And be with You on that day.
