Meaning:
1.
Who is this coming? Who is this coming?
Isn't He Jesus, the Savior?
The Most High Lord is coming to the Jordan River
to be baptized!
2.
Look! Here is the Lamb of God
who carries the sin of the world.
Can you believe it? He is going to be baptized
as though He were a sinner!
3.
“No, Lord, You should not be baptized by me.
I am the one who desperately needs to be baptized by You.
I am not even worthy
to carry Your sandals.”
4.
“Isn't the baptism of the Spirit and the baptism of fire
in Your hands?
Why, then, are You asking to be baptized in water
by my hands?”
5.
When John the Baptist said these things
with deep reverence,
the beloved Savior replied,
“Let it be so, for in this way
we must fulfill all righteousness.”
6.
Immediately Jesus went down
and was baptized.
As He came up from the water,
the Holy Spirit suddenly descended upon Him
like a dove.
7.
Then a voice came from heaven:
“You are My beloved Son;
I am well pleased with You.”
Thus the Heavenly Father declared
His great love for His Son.
8.
The heavens were opened,
and there appeared the beloved Father,
the Holy Spirit,
and my beloved Lord Jesus.
Come and behold this glorious sight.
