In the One whom I trust,
He will remain my refuge and treasure.
He will lead me to the very end
and preserve me safely throughout my life.

Though those around me heap shame upon me
and treat me with contempt,
my Lord remains my refuge
here in the midst of this world.

This world brings me sorrow and suffering
and offers me nothing lasting.
So I long to leave this world
and be received by my Lord when He comes for me.

I will lift my eyes to the One on high;
He is my refuge.
I will humble myself
and praise His holy name.

My Lord will soon come,
and the trumpet will sound.
All the saints will rise—
what joy and rejoicing that day will bring!
