When my Jesus cares for me,
Then, my soul, I have no reason to lack anything.

He came into this world as a human being,
Filled with the greatest love for sinners.
He gave His very life,
Conquered death,
Rose again to life,
And defeated the enemy.

2.
When I struggle along dark and difficult paths,
He is right beside me.
He will remove my guilt,
Wipe away my tears,
Never abandon me,
And lead me safely on the right path
Until the very end.

3.
He is my companion in times of sorrow,
My help in every situation,
My good Teacher and my Lord,
My Leader and my guide.
He is my very life,
My loving Father.
He is everything to me—
So I have nothing to fear or worry about anymore.

4.
The One who created heaven and earth
Is Himself my refuge.
Why should I be afraid?
Does He not make the lilies of the field grow?
Does He not provide for the birds of the sky?

5.
I will completely forget
What lies behind me,
And press forward toward what lies ahead.
Keeping my eyes on the goal,
I will run toward the prize
Of the high calling of God.
