My Beloved Savior, the Sun of Righteousness,
Will appear in glorious splendor.
Without delay, He will come in the clouds
And surely take me, His bride, to Himself.
1
He once walked through the streets of Jerusalem,
Carrying the cross on His shoulders,
Making His way to Calvary.
Now He has prepared pearl-adorned homes
In that glorious city,
And He will soon return for me.
2
When I think of my home in that city of joy,
How can the troubles of this world seem so great?
I will sing songs of hope continually,
For the joy of heaven already fills my heart
More than ever before.
3
When the Sun of Righteousness appears,
The radiance of His glory will drive away my darkness.
The King of kings will clothe me in His glory
And bring me to sit beside Him.
My King is coming soon!
4
My heart longs for the day
When every sorrow will be ended
And I will live with my Beloved forever.
My heart leaps with longing—
When will my loving Bridegroom come
And take me home to Himself?
