Thingi vingunna sankadavum engum pazhiyum nindakalum
- Priyarellaam kaividumbol prathikoolamaay maaridumbol
Praana priyaa ee ezhayaakum praaniye neeyum kaividumo?
- Nallathallaath-onnumilla nee nalkum-ellaam nanmayallo
Nithyatha thannilethuvolam nee nadathenne nin hitham pol
Meaning:
When Will My Beloved Lord Come?
When Will My Suffering End?

When I am anxious, You are the One who comforts me;
When I am in need, You are the One I depend on.
There is no one but You for me,
O Lord of my soul, in this earthly world.

Here in this life, apart from You,
I have no lasting joy.
My heart is filled with overflowing sorrow,
And everywhere I face blame and rejection.

When everyone I love turns away from me,
And circumstances turn against me,
My Beloved, will You too
Ever abandon this poor and helpless soul?

There is nothing evil in what You give;
Everything You give is for my good.
Until I finally reach eternity,
Lead me according to Your will
And accomplish Your purpose in my life.
