My Beloved! When will I see You?
When will I see Your glorious face?
When will You come from heaven and take me to Yourself?
When will all my troubles finally end?
1.
You have prepared a home and promised to come soon
And take me to be with You. I wait with that hope.
When will You come, Lord Jesus?
When will I finally see Your face?
2.
My Beloved, who has brought the wine into the wedding feast,
I am Yours, and I will always belong to You.
I want none of the desires and pleasures of this world;
Lord of my life, You alone are enough for me.
3.
You endured great suffering, shed Your blood,
And gave Your life for me in Your great love and grace.
For all the days I live on this earth,
I will serve You alone.
4.
I want nothing from this world—no position, no honor.
The suffering of Your people is what I gladly share.
There is no worldly flood strong enough
To put out the fire of Your great love in my heart.
5.
When I arrive in the heavenly kingdom,
My heart will eagerly look around, longing to find You.
When I see Your nail-scarred feet and hands,
I will fall down before You in worship.
