This God is my God forever;
He will lead me throughout my life.

His everlasting arms are underneath me;
Jesus is always by my side.
He will carry me in His arms,
Wipe away my tears,
Care for me, and lead me onward.

When my heart is broken and filled with pain,
When those closest to me leave me,
Jesus, the Most High, is right beside me,
My faithful and loving Friend.

3.
When the burdens of sorrow grow heavier,
Or when I find myself all alone,
Whatever may come my way,
Here on this earth, I still have Jesus.

It is a life filled with joy—
Words cannot fully describe it.
With all my heart I will sing aloud
And praise my Lord
All the days of my life.
