Seek God’s grace before your body returns to dust.
Before the kingdoms of this world come to an end,
turn to Jesus, the one and only Savior,
and find refuge in Him.

1. Childhood and youthful beauty
fade like a flower.
Strength, the vigor of youth, good health—
none of these can be relied upon
to remain forever for anyone on earth.

2. Sicknesses dwell here and there within the body,
and by the command of the Almighty
they can quickly grow stronger.
Eventually, they can weaken and burden the whole body,
and life itself will pass away.

3. There are countless dangers
all around us.
Do you really have the strength
to stand firm against them all?
Therefore, hold on to God,
and live in reverent fear of Him at all times.

4. Before your eyesight grows dim,
before your hearing fails,
before your whole body becomes weak and numb,
and before the forces of death come
and carry you away—
turn to God while there is still time.
