  paapam aakkitheertho devaa!

3.Mruthyuvil ninnente praanan
  veezhchayil ninnente kaalkal
  Kannuneeril ninnu kankal
  nirnnayam vimochippanaay

4.En vilaapam nruthamaakaan,
  ente rattazhinju pokaan
  Santhatham santhoshamekaan,
  swargganaaden swanthamaakaan

5.Paarthalathil ethra kaalam
  paarthidum njaanathra naalum
  Keerthichidum sthothram cheyyum
  vaazhthippaadum halleluyya!

Meaning:

My God, did You forsake Your Son
There upon Calvary?
He cries out in agony,
And then gives up His life.

1.
Through a perfect sacrifice,
You opened the way of salvation for all.
You placed the sins of the whole world upon Him
And allowed Him to bear them in our place.

2.
He knew no sin, yet You made Him sin for us,
So that through Him
I might become righteous before God.
O God, You did this for me!

3.
To deliver my soul from death,
To keep my feet from falling,
And to wipe away the tears from my eyes—
You gave Yourself
So that I might be completely set free.

4.
You turned my mourning into dancing,
You removed my garment of sorrow,
You filled my life with lasting joy,
And made heaven my eternal home.

As long as I remain here on earth,
I will continue to praise You.
