Meaning:

God has prepared a home for me,
And there I will dwell with Him forever.
The angels will sing new songs of joy,
And I too will join them, singing Hallelujah.

Today I walk along this dark and difficult path,
Yet I will keep my eyes fixed on Jesus as I go.
My fears will disappear, and all my troubles will end,
When at last I see my beloved Lord.

When I stumble and fall during this journey through the wilderness,
The precious hand of Jesus will always lift me and sustain me.
My weariness will be gone, and my struggles will end,
On the day I finally reach my heavenly home.

Why does my beloved delay in coming?
How long must I wait here on this earth?
My heart longs and waits for the day
When I will see my beloved face to face
And be united with Him forever.
