O Beloved! Why Do You Delay in Coming, Jesus?
O Beloved! Why do You delay?
My heart burns and melts within me as I wait for Your coming;
My eyes grow dim, O my Emmanuel.

How many years have passed since You said,
“I am coming soon”?
Remembering Your promise that You would come in the clouds,
I wait with a deep longing and thirst.
O Jesus, my one and only Beloved!
With hope and eager expectation,
I look forward to Your glorious coming.

Are the nations not yet complete?
Have they not yet come to Your feet?
Have the Jews not yet gathered?
Have they not yet settled and flourished in Canaan?
For what reason, O Jesus,
The Sun of Righteousness,
Have You still not returned to this world?

3.

How much longer will this continue?
How much longer will Satan rule and deceive this world?
How much longer will accusations
Be spoken against Your holy people, O Lord?
Look and see the suffering throughout the earth.
Come, beloved Lord,
And put an end to Satan’s defiance and rebellion.

4.

Do You not see my sorrow?
Do You not hear the sound of my cries?
Do You not see that the time has come
To crush the schemes of Satan?
O Lord, look upon me with Your holy eyes
And take away all my suffering.
Come, beloved Lord,
And make me, Your bride, ready for Your coming.
