Daiva karunayin dhana maahaathmyam naavaal varnnyamo?

1.Daivasuthan pashushaalayil naranaay
  Avatharichathu verum kadhayo?
  Bhoovanamonnaake chamachavanoru cheru-
  Bhavanavum labhichathillenno?-

2.Paramasambannanee dharaniyilettam
  Daridranaay theernnu swamanassa
  Nirupama prabha-yaninjirunnavan pazhanthuni
  Dharichathum cheriya sangathiyo?-

3.Anudinam anavadi yanugraha bhaaram
  Anubhavichoru janamavanu
  Kanivoru kanikeyumenniye nalkiya
  Kazhumaram chumappathum kaanmeen-

4.Kurishu chumannavan girimukaleri
  Virichu kaikaalkale-yathinmel
  Sharikk irumbaanikal tharappathinnaayathu
  Smarikkukil vismayaneeyam-

Meaning:

Can the greatness of God’s mercy
Ever be fully described by human lips?

Was it merely a story
That the Son of God came to earth as a man
And was born in a stable?
The One who created the whole universe
Could not even find a small place to call His own!

The One who was infinitely rich
Willingly became the poorest on earth.
He who was clothed in incomparable glory
Chose instead to wear simple, worn-out clothes.
How could such a sacrifice be considered a small thing?

He came to a people
Who had received countless blessings from Him every day.
Yet they showed Him not even a drop of compassion.
Look at Him carrying the cross,
The very cross on which He would be condemned to die!

The One who carried the cross climbed the hill
And stretched out His hands and feet upon it.
When we remember that iron nails
Were driven through His hands and feet,
How can we not stand amazed?
