O Lord Jesus, who has neither beginning nor end,

shining like the radiant sun,
shine upon these two with the glory of the Eternal One,
and grant them faces filled with divine goodness and beauty.

Give them heavenly eyes
with which they may see all temporary pleasures
as insignificant compared with the joy of knowing You,
and may they live in Your heavenly light,
O Lord Jesus.

Let their ears be opened, O Lord Jesus,
to hear the songs that rise like waves
across the ocean of joy,
reaching even to the limits proclaimed in Your Word.

Give them tongues that burn with holy zeal,
so that the thick forest of foolish teachings
may quickly be destroyed and reduced to ashes,
O Lord Jesus.

Give them hands that pour out kindness,
so that they may continually work wisely and diligently
for the sake of the poor and suffering people,
and share blessings with them,
O Lord Jesus.

When the darkness disappears
at the return of the Bridegroom of Zion,
bless these two so that they may receive victory
and wear the crown You give them,
O Lord Jesus.

May they receive the light of the sun forever;
may the moon shine brightly upon them;
and may flowers of every kind
continually spread their fragrance around them,
O Lord Jesus.
