255.  Chumbi-chidunnu njaan nin

Chumb-ichidunnu njaan ninmurivukale

1.Immaanuvele! paraa immedinie naayakaa!
  Nin murivukal-aham unmayaay kandaa-yathaal-

2.Paani randilum nallirumb aanikal tharachaayathum
  Praana nadhaa! nee sahichee praaniye prathi shaanthamaay

3.Mullu kondu chamachathaa-yulloru kireedam dharich
  Ulla nin shirassineyum ullapol darshi-chenaham

4.Maaridam thulachangu van dwaaram-aakki nin vairikal
  Chorayum jalavum oru neerurava polozhuki

5.Varnnyam alla deva thava dandanagal bhoo bhaashayil
  Poornnamaay grahippaanum ee mannil illa aarum druddam

6.Kevalam pishaachin suthan aay vasicha paapikku nin
  Jeevanaaya raktham chorinj-evameki nithya jeevan-

Meaning:

I bow in love before Your wounds,
And with deep reverence, I kiss them.

O Immanuel, my Lord,
The Savior and Lord of this earth,
I have truly seen Your wounds,
And my heart is overwhelmed by what You endured for me.

2.
I see the cruel iron nails
Driven through both Your hands.
O Lord of my life,
You endured this suffering
And brought peace and forgiveness to a sinner like me.

3.
I see Your holy head,
Crowned with a crown woven from thorns.
The wounds and suffering You endured
Are before my eyes.

4.
Your enemies pierced Your side
And opened a deep wound.
From it flowed blood and water
Like a life-giving stream.

5.
O God, the suffering and punishment You endured
Are beyond anything human words can describe.
No one on this earth
Can ever fully understand the depth of Your agony.

6.
For me, a sinner who had lived
As though I belonged to the devil,
You shed Your life-giving blood
And gave me the priceless gift
Of eternal life.
