Meaning:

I will sing songs of thanksgiving in the presence of God
For all the goodness He has given me.
God gave His only Son for me, a sinner.
Hallelujah! I will sing a song of praise.

I will sing and praise Him,
I will sing and praise Him,
I will sing songs of thanksgiving and praise.

I will sing songs of thanksgiving before God
For all the blessings He has given me.
He gave His Son for me, a sinner,
And for this I will sing a Hallelujah song.

Darkness had taken hold of my heart
And made me a slave to its bondage.
But through His beloved Son,
The One who shines with beauty and glory,
He has broken my chains
And set me free.

Though I was once an enemy,
God gave His Son to the cross
So that I could become His child.
What an immeasurable blessing it is
To receive the privilege of sonship!
Therefore, I will sing songs of thanksgiving and praise.

He called me and brought me into the light,
So that I might shine for the One who called me.
He has given me His good and illuminating Word.
I, though humble and insignificant,
Will proclaim His light everywhere.
