Meaning:

Jesus, please give us Your holy Word now with Your blessing.
Like Mary, we sit at Your feet,
Looking to You with eager hearts.

1. Without the divine power that comes through the Scriptures,
   We, Your servants, may easily go astray.
   In Your mercy, open our understanding
   And make the hidden truths clear to us.

2. Give us hearts that are willing to obey,
   And help everyone experience that this is not merely a human word,
   But the Word of God,
   Given to us through Your power.

3. Help us receive Your holy truth in our hearts
   Without ever turning away from it.
   Bring all our senses into submission
   And let Your Holy Spirit rule over us.

4. Holy One, make us live without division
   In You, who are the very heart of Scripture.
   Help us recognize and turn away
   From every path that brings sorrow.

5. Until the day we see Your face in heaven,
   Help us live faithfully here on earth.
   In the mirror of Your Gospel,
   Let us see You and rejoice with eager hearts.
