As Your disciple, make me completely like You.

Whoever has seen You, the One who is love,
Can they ever live without loving?
Set my heart completely on fire with love;
Fill me with Your love, my Lord!

You came to comfort the poor and the lowly.
Give me grace to show compassion like You,
And to do so with joy.

You, the only Son of God, served like a servant.
My Lord, let that same humility
Live within me.

You are the Lamb who endured everything
From those who opposed and rejected You.
Give me the strength not to become angry,
But to forgive.

You always gladly and willingly
Did what pleased Your Father.
Make my desires conform
To the will of God.

Jesus, who loved and studied the Scriptures
From childhood,
You are my Teacher.
Help Your disciple understand Your Word well.

Jesus, who spent the whole night
Awake in prayer,
Give me strength always
To pray and remain watchful.

You were a faithful servant of God
Who rejected worldly positions and the honors of Satan.
Give me an undivided heart
And remind me that God alone is my true treasure.

O King of Truth, who hates deceit
And every clever scheme!
Preserve in me always
The sincerity and innocence of a child.

O Lover of those who trust in You,
Who was free from worldly anxiety,
Strengthen my heart through the mighty power
Of complete dependence on God.

You are more beautiful than anyone
Among humanity or even the angels.
May the beauty of Your divine character
Bring me joy every day.
