Jesus, my Bridegroom, my beacon of hope,
I have only one desire:
To see You in heavenly glory.
I will see You, I will see You—
I will see my Beloved!
Not as a stranger, but with my own eyes
I will behold His face.
1
O world filled with tears, let me leave you behind;
In the twinkling of an eye,
I will reach the shores of heaven
And enter my eternal home.
2
Those who have died in Christ and those who are still living in faith—
When the trumpet sounds in heaven,
The dead will rise from the earth,
And together we will go to heaven.
3
At the glorious dawn of resurrection,
As the angels play their harps,
When the golden-crowned saints gather,
My name too will be called.
4
My race, my labor,
And the faith I have kept will not be in vain.
I know it is certain:
Soon I will see my Bridegroom, my beloved Lord
