Jesus is so good to me,
a Shepherd who gives me comfort.
Because Jesus is always my refuge,
how blessed my life truly is!

1.
He knew me beforehand and loved me with overflowing love;
this is always a wonder beyond my understanding.
I know Him as my Father,
the Lord who has taken away all my troubles,
my good Friend forever,
my good Shepherd forever.
He stays with me so that I need not be troubled by anything—
Jesus is the One who remains by my side.

2.
In the journey of life, where deep darkness surrounds me,
He comes to take away my burdens and draw me close.
There is no one on earth I can turn to for refuge
except Jesus.
He is the faithful Friend who cares for me every day,
the One who gives me unfailing love.
He comes near with His compassionate hands
to wipe away my sorrow.

3.
He is preparing a home for me in heaven
and will come again to take me to Himself.
With a mighty voice, He will call from the clouds of heaven,
and what joy there will be on that day
when I join the saints!
Then I will be like Him,
and forever I will dwell together with my Beloved
throughout all eternity.
