Meaning:

Jesus will come soon—our comfort and hope;
Jesus will come soon—Christ our Lord.

1. He will come riding on the clouds,
with countless angels,
to gather all His holy people to Himself.

2. For those who faithfully served God in truth,
He will conquer death
and give them the fullness of His life.

3. Those who continually waited
for His glorious return
will receive everlasting joy.

4. His servants, according to their faithfulness,
will reign forever
in the kingdom of eternal glory.

5. He will remove all the shame
and sorrow of His people,
and with His loving hand
He will wipe away their tears.

6. We will see His holy face with our own eyes,
and be forever filled with joy,
praising His name eternally.

7. Let all the cares and anxieties of this world pass away.
Let Jesus be our one and only hope.
