Meaning:

Jesus, my Savior, Jesus, my Savior,
He gave His life to save me, asinner.

He willingly left all the glory of heaven
And came into this world
To bring me, a heavenly citizen,
Into heaven with Him.

2.
Because He shed His precious blood
On the cross at Calvary,
I will offer Him
My praise and thanksgiving forever.

I was completely unworthy,
Deserving only judgment,
Yet You made me Your own child.
What an amazing grace!

His salvation is a gift;
His life is eternal.
The more I think about His love,
The more my heart overflows with joy.

Even on a path filled with deep darkness,
My Savior is my light.
In times of danger, He is my protection
And watches over me.
