28.  Yeshu naayaka-vaazhka jeeva

         Yeshu naayaka-vaazhka jeevadaayaka-nirantham

1. Aadi muthel pithaavin shri thangidum madiyil
   Veethaamayamirunna chethoharaathmajane-
    
2. Paapam pariharippaan paaril janichavane
   Bhoovinnashudhi neekki shaapam thakarthavane-
    
3. Anchappavum cherumeen randumeduthu vaazhthi
   Ayyaayirathinnathi samthrupthiyekiyoru-
    
4. Odunna chorayodum vaadum mukhathinodum
   Paadettu kaivirichu krooshil kidannavane-
    
5. En devadeveney-enthenne vedinjathennu
   Khinnaathmanaa vilichu-chonnu marichavane!-
    
6. Aayaarilaayiranga-laayulla dootherodum
   Sweeya mahimayodum-thaane varunna para!-
    
7. Haasyamaam mulmudiyu-mankiyum chernna meyyil
   Raaja saubhaagya mudra-shreekhram dharippavane-
    
8. Saalempuram yadaartha-raaja nivaasamaakkaan
   Kaale varunna yooda-raajashikhaamaniye-

Meaning:

O Jesus, our glorious Lord,
You reign, O Giver of Life!

1.
O beautiful and beloved Son,
Who from the beginning dwelt in the Father's embrace,
Sharing His divine glory and majesty.

2.
You were born into this world
To remove and forgive sin.
You cleansed the earth from its impurity
And broke the power of the curse.

3.
You took five loaves and two small fish,
Blessed them,
And gave abundant satisfaction
To five thousand people.

4.
With blood flowing and Your face weakened by suffering,
You stretched out Your hands, bearing the wounds,
And lay upon the cross for our sake.

5.
With a sorrowful heart You cried out,
“My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?”
And then You gave up Your life and died.

6.
O Lord, You will come again
With thousands upon thousands of angels
And with Your own divine glory and majesty.

7.
Though You once wore a mocking crown of thorns
And a robe placed upon You in humiliation,
You will soon be clothed with the unmistakable
Marks of royal majesty and honor.

8.
O Crown and glory of the kings of Judah,
You will come in the appointed time
To establish Salem as the true royal dwelling place.
