Look at Him at Calvary,
His head bowed upon the cross.
Look, dear one—
He is hanging there on three nails
For you.

1.
He wears a crown of thorns upon His head.
His heart is broken by insults.
Overwhelmed by terrible pain and suffering,
He willingly gives His life For you.

2.
Here is the spotless Lamb of God,
Sacrificed from the foundation of the world
Bearing the sins of the whole world,
He hangs between heaven and earth.

The One who became the sacrifice
To give us the abundant water of life
Was offered sour and bitter drink
When He was thirsty.
Yet He drank it all
For your sake.

4.
The One who prayed for forgiveness
For those who sinned against Him—
As He was about to leave this sinful world,
He declared, “It is finished,”
And entrusted His spirit
Into the hands of the Father.

5.
Because His holy body was broken,
Because His precious blood was shed,
He paid the price for you.
He gave everything
So that you might receive
The fullness of heavenly riches
And eternal life.
