I long to become like Jesus,
to keep and obey His Word,
and to live my life looking to Jesus.
These are the things I desire.

Establish me, my Lord!
Fill me, Holy Spirit!
May I be completely filled
and shine with the glory of Christ.

Remove from me every failure of my early years,
every violation of the Mosaic law
Take them all away, O my Lord,
and give me Your fullness.

Help me, my Great High Priest,
to remain watchful and fight the good fight
through constant prayer.
Give me Your strength and help.

Give me complete faith, my Savior,
and let me fully receive
the treasure You have promised,
making it completely my own.

Many turn back completely
and later regret it because of fear and cowardice.
Give me courage, O Jesus,
and make me a bold and faithful witness.

Teach me to understand with You
that giving is better than receiving,
and that it is far better
to support and carry others
than simply to be supported myself.

Give me a love that searches for what is lost
and seeks to restore what has been cast away.
Give me a love that flows with tears;
come and kindle Your holy fire within me.

Give me strength, O Lord,
to sing even in suffering
and to rejoice even in loss.
Make me complete and mature in devotion to You.

I long to humble myself with Jesus,
to reign and live with Jesus,
and to be united with Jesus forever.
These are the things I desire.
