Jesus, bind me to Your cross by faith,
with hope, with faith, and with a deep longing, I earnestly plead.

I was born at Your cross;
let me also live at Your cross.
Let Your cross be my refuge
and the only thing I boast in.

My only boast today, Lord, is in Your cross.
Lord, dwell within me forever
as my King and sovereign.

The cross is my blessed refuge;
Jesus is the center of my hope.
Guide my boat of life safely
until I reach that place.

Let me die with You
so that I may rise with You.
Let my sinful nature die,
and let Your life reign within me.

Help me understand the truth
that the bondage of sin must be broken
and that my sinful nature must die
so that I may be free from sin.

May my life here on earth
bring glory to You.
I bow before You,
falling at Your feet in worship and reverence.

Until I leave this earthly life
and reach heaven,
please guard me in Your hands
like the apple of Your eye.
