The day of our redemption is drawing near, people of God;
Let us keep working without growing weary.
The Lord of heaven is about to come,
Our sorrows will soon be over.
The time is near when we will reach our home
And rest with Him.

1.
Because the fig tree has begun to blossom,
We know that summer is near.
So let us work with eagerness.
Before the night comes,
Let us finish the work of our good Lord
Faithfully and well.

2.
If we remain silent today
And do nothing for the Lord's work,
When the Lord comes and gathers us to Himself
And gives out the rewards,
There will be no benefit in having nothing to show.
We would only sit and weep then.

3.
This world is filled with darkness,
And people everywhere are bound and spiritually blind.
Let us continually make Jesus, our Savior, known to them.
Then their chains will be broken
And their blindness will be taken away
In an instant.
