1
Come, Lord Jesus, come today
Into the midst of this gathering.
Grant us Your gifts and blessings,
So that we may celebrate Your praise.
2
O Lord who came to this earth,
O One whose holy body is more precious than gold,
We, Your servants, come before You today
With thankful hearts to bow and worship You.
3
Show us the wounds made by the nails
And make us, Your servants,
Unashamed and courageous witnesses
Who will faithfully testify about You.
4
O God, my Father,
Through the name of the Lord Jesus,
Grant us the gift of Your Spirit
So that we may pray and worship You.
5
The flesh, the devil, and the world—
Our enemies—have risen against us
And come like a fierce army,
Ready to wage war.
6
Lord, we have no strength of our own
To face such a mighty army.
So I fall at Your feet
And seek Your help and protection.
7
O my God, by Your gifts of grace
You made Moses, who was slow of speech,
Bold and powerful in his words.
Do the same for us, Lord.
8
O Shepherd among the sheep,
We have heard Your precious voice.
So we have left our land, our homes,
And even our familiar surroundings
To follow You.
9
O Cloud that went before
The tribes of Israel,
Go before us today as well,
Your servants,
And show us the way we should go.
10
Hallelujah to Jesus,
To the Father, and to the Spirit, forever!
Hallelujah!
Throughout eternity,
I will sing the everlasting song of praise.
