Meaning:

When Jesus came into my heart,
what a change took place within me!
When I welcomed Him into my heart,
what joy filled my life!

In the midst of great troubles,
He came to my help.
He took all my sin and its curse upon Himself,
and on the cross, His blood was poured out for me.
What a change came over me!

He paid the price for me with His precious blood
and redeemed me for Himself.
From now on and forever,
I belong to Him alone.
My body, my life, and my soul belong to Him.
What a change came over me!

All the difficulties along my path
have been overcome.
Now I have only one desire
and one goal.
The fear of death is gone from me.
What a change came over me!

The night is almost over
and the morning is about to dawn.
Jesus, the Morning Star,
is about to appear in the heavens.
And forever, this will be my song:
“What a change has come over me!”
