Jesus is my foundation;
In Him alone I have placed my hope.
I have found the fullness of comfort in Jesus.

1.
How sweet His name is to me!
The more I dwell upon it and remember Him,
The more my longing for everything else fades away.

2.
Whether sorrow or poverty comes upon me,
He takes me by the hand
And leads me safely onward.

3.
Even if sickness takes hold of me
And my body grows weak,
My Lord will soon come
To make my body new again.

4.
He will remove the stains of the curse
That sin has brought upon me,
And clothe me with a beautiful robe
Of righteousness.

5.
Even while the vast world around me
Is shaken and trembling,
He will lovingly lead me,
Going before me and remaining behind me.

6.
If the world becomes my enemy
And rejects me,
Why should I grieve over it?
I will not be afraid of anything.

7.
I have His promise
That He will soon make me His bride.
He will surely fulfill His word;
There is no turning back from His promise.
