Jesus is my refuge;
Christ Jesus is my refuge.
He stretches out His gracious hands,
Draws me close,
And holds me near to His heart.

The pleasures this world offers
Are like water that only increases thirst.
Jesus alone is the fountain of love;
He gives me the living water
That truly satisfies my soul.

2.
Even when enemies surround me
And my friends forget me,
Jesus will never forget me.
With tender compassion,
He will shelter me
Under the wings of His love.

3.
The thorn in my flesh may remain,
And the trials of God's people may not cease.
Yet He gives me strength to endure
And grace to persevere.
Therefore, even in my weakness,
I will boast in Him.

4.
We have no permanent home on this earth;
Our true inheritance is the heavenly country.
Jesus will come and take us there,
And on that day He will transform our bodies
To be like His glorious body.
