Jesus is my helper;
He is my companion throughout my journey of life.
Jesus is worthy of praise, mighty, and good—
The highest Lord above all.

He will part the Red Sea and make a way for me;
With His own hand, He will lead me forward.
He will remove all my troubles and anxieties
And carry me safely through.

He provides shade from the heat of the day
And gives me light in the night.
He turns the bitter waters of Marah into sweetness
And will care for me until the end of my life.

Whenever severe difficulties come my way,
The Lord will protect me and keep me safe.
He will be my refuge throughout all my days,
And I will never be shaken or afraid.

When I cross the Jordan, the shadow of death,
And arrive in the land of heavenly Zion,
I will look back with wonder
At how faithfully His grace and care
Carried me all the way.
