   Avanennil chaanjen nilavili keettu

   Yente gemanathe sthiramaakki theerthu
   Ennude vaayil puthiyoru paattum
   Thannavan nammude daivathinu sthothram
    
3. Nigalavum kapadavum niranjavaraaya
   Loka sakhaakkale muzhuvanum veruthu
   Yehovayaam than devanil maathra-
   Maashrayamaay-avan bhaagyavaan ulakil
    
4. Daivame! nee cheythor-athishaya kriyakalum
   Njangale prathiyulla chinthayum valare
   Ninnodu samanaay oruvanillulakil
   Varnnippaan kazhiyumo nin krupayarikil!
    
5. Njaano eliyavan deridranennaakilum
   Nannaay karuthunnu karthaav enne
   Ente sahaayavum sarvvavum neeye
   Varuvaan naadhaa! thaamasikkaruthe

Meaning:

1.
I waited patiently for the Lord;
He turned toward me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of destruction
and rescued me from the deep mire.

2.
He set my feet firmly upon a rock
and made my steps secure.
He put a new song in my mouth—
a song of praise to our God.

3.
Blessed is the person who turns away
from the proud and deceitful people of this world
and places their trust in the Lord alone.

4.
My God, how wonderful are the things You have done!
Your thoughts and plans for us are beyond measure.
There is no one who compares with You.
Who could ever fully describe Your grace and love?

5.
Though I am poor and needy,
the Lord cares for me.
You alone are my help and my everything.
Lord, please come to me without delay.
