1.
By faith, I will journey with Jesus
Along the path of the cross.
I will travel toward my promised home
In the eternal land,
Singing songs of comfort along the way.

I journey toward salvation on the path of the cross,
Singing songs of thanksgiving with joy.
Even when anxiety surrounds me, I will not become fearful;
I will continue on my journey toward my eternal home.

When terrible darkness surrounds me,
My Lord will keep me safe.
Even when I grow weary,
He will never change;
My good Shepherd will hold me up with His hands.

I will lay aside the burdens
And worries of this earthly life
And continue along the path to eternal life.
Whether the journey brings joy or sorrow,
I will lean on Jesus and continue onward.

4.
I do not desire the comforts of this world,
And I will not go searching for the things I have left behind.
I count the reproach I bear for Christ
As my precious treasure
As I journey toward Zion.

5.
When I reach the heavenly homeland,
I will live there forever with my Beloved.
When I think of that day,
I realize that today's sorrows will last only a little while;
After that will come days of everlasting joy and blessing.
