Meaning:
In the presence of Jesus, my King.
My loving Jesus has told me so.
Even those who belong to heaven
Face many hardships and sorrows here on earth.
So there is no sorrow or distress within me.
Take the helm of my ship of faith, dear Lord,
And guide me safely to heaven's shore.
This world is only the Valley of Baca.
Soon we will reach the city of Zion
And shed tears of joy there.
Why should we call this place our permanent home?
Our Father has prepared for us a home above,
A dwelling not made by human hands.
In this wilderness journey,
And my soul becomes troubled,
Our compassionate Lord will graciously sustain us
And care for us.
When we think of the great sorrow on this earth,
We long for Your coming.
Yet when we see the radiance of Your face,
We will be filled with joy and heavenly gladness.
