Thiruppaadam thediyithaa varum saadhu njaan yeshuve
           Krupa thannanudinavum enne nadathaname

1. Dukha bhaarathaalen hrudayam thalaraathirunniduvaan
   Kanivolum karathalathaal kanivodenne thaanganame
    
2. Samaadhaanamillaathu-lakam sadaa bheethi poondidunne
   Thava saanthwana nukamettu thangu-vorkk-enthaashwaasame
    
3. Jadamohangal vedinjadiyan jeevapaathayil nadappaan
   Jagatnaadhaa! balam tharika jayajeevitham cheythiduvaan-
    
4. Chuduchora krooshil chorinjen kodum paapam theertha para!
   Ninakkaayen jeevithathe nikhilam samarppikkunnu njaan

Meaning:

I am a humble sinner, Jesus,
And I have come seeking Your holy feet.
Please give me Your grace
And lead me day by day.

When the burdens of sorrow
Threaten to overwhelm my heart,
Hold me gently with Your compassionate hands
And keep me from growing discouraged.

2.
This world is filled with fear
And has no lasting peace.
What wonderful comfort there is
For those who rest beneath
The gentle yoke of Your consolation!

3.
Give me strength, O Lord of all,
To turn away from the desires of the flesh
And walk along the path of life.
Help me live a victorious life
For You.

4.
O Lord, You shed Your precious blood
Upon the cross
And took away my terrible sins.
Therefore, I surrender
My entire life to You.
