1.
His loving hands are near
When your heart grows weary and begins to ache. 
When you feel as though you have fallen and can go no further,
The Lord is near to hold you up. 
God will make a way in a miraculous manner;
The great walls of Jericho will come crashing down.

The One who heard Hannah's cry
And blessed her is with you. 
The unchanging Emmanuel is always there;
This good and faithful Friend
Is right beside you.

3.
When you are struggling in a small boat
In the middle of the sea,
Tossed about by fierce waves, 
He will come to guide your boat safely and calmly;
He will come walking across the sea. 

4.
When you truly understand and trust the Lord,
Your troubles will begin to seem small.
The One who does all things well
Will give you abundant grace
To endure whatever comes.
