18.  Vaazhthum ennum parameshane

           Vaazhthumennum parameshene-avante sthuthi
           Paarkkumennum ente naavinmel
           Paarthalathil vasikkum nalaarthi paara mananjaalum
           Keerthanam cheyyumennum than shresta naamathe mudaa njaan-

1. Chinthanakalaake vedinjum paravidhipol
   Santhatham njaan swairamadanjum
   Kaanthanamavante chollil shaanthamaam mozhi thiranjum
   Swaanthamaaviyaal niranjum-thanthiru naama-marinjum-
    
2. Parvvathangal kunnukaliva-yenikku raksha
   Nalkukillayathililla njaan-vishramippaan thakkathonnum
   Vishwasippaan thakkavannam
   Nishwasikkapetta sathyam aashwasippikkunnu nithyam
    
3. Thankalekku nokkiyorkale vidaathavente
   Thanka mukham shobhayekunnu
   Shanka lesham bhavikkaatha thankamaakeyakannennum
   Than kurishin jayathaala-dhanyarennum vasikkunnu-
    
4. Baalasimhangal karayunnu-vishakkave than
   Baalakaro paattu paadunnu
   Paalanaamavarkku saalem naadhanenn-arinjirikke
   Meliniyavarkku lavaleshavum-aakulamilla-
    
5. Thannilanpulla thanmakkalkku varuvathellaam
   Nanmayaayaver karuthunnu
   Onnilumaver manam thalar nnavashar-aayidaathe
   Mannavane nokkiyaverennu maanandichidunnu-

Meaning:

I will always praise the Lord and proclaim His glory.
His praise will continually remain upon my lips.
As long as I live upon this earth,
Even when I face the deepest sorrow and distress,
I will continue to sing and joyfully proclaim
His excellent and glorious name.

1.
I will lay aside all anxious thoughts
And live in the freedom and peace that He gives.
I will listen carefully to the gentle words
Of my beloved Lord,
Let His peace fill my heart,
And continually know and honor His holy name.

2.
The mountains and hills cannot save me;
There is no true salvation in them.
There is nothing there that can truly give me rest
Or something firm enough to place my trust in.
But the truth that has been spoken to me
Continually gives me comfort and peace.

3.
Those who look toward Him, He will never abandon.
The brightness of His glorious face shines upon them.
All doubt, fear, and distress disappear,
And through the victory of His cross,
They live as people who are blessed and victorious.

4.
Young lions may roar when they are hungry,
But His children can sing with joy.
Knowing that the Lord Himself is their provider and protector,
They have no reason to be troubled
Or anxious about what lies ahead.

5.
Those who love Him and belong to Him
Believe that everything that comes their way
Will ultimately work for their good.
They do not allow their hearts to become discouraged or overwhelmed;
Instead, they continually look to their King
And rejoice in Him.
